A wedding between elegance and enchantment in the canton of Vaud

A prestigious reception in the family garden 
 

At the very beginning of their wedding preparations, the bride and groom had expressed their wish to celebrate their union in Corsica. However, due to the health crisis and all the restrictions it brought, they thought it prudent to review their project. 
Thanks to the support of their wedding planner, Alexia Cramer, and the advice and expertise of Atawa, they decided to organize their D-day at their parents' home, a stone's throw from Lausanne, in the heart of French-speaking Switzerland.

A refined wedding despite an uncertain context

The measures taken to fight against covid are constantly evolving, so organizing a wedding in the canton of Vaud has become a real adventure! Would private events be allowed? Would the number of people be limited? 
One month before the big day, scheduled for July 2021, no one knew if the wedding would take place. 
With over 200 guests invited to the family estate, this wedding was likely to undergo some last minute changes. 
Adaptability and reactivity were therefore the key words at Atawa, to be able to offer the day of their dreams to the bride and groom during this hectic period.

Renting a custom-made tent in Savigny

To set up an enchanting decor in a garden, it is necessary to know how to prepare for all eventualities. Especially when the site is only accessible on foot! Indeed, no truck or cart could reach the place planned for the party, in order to bring all the material.
So Atawa's crews drove back and forth over 100 meters to unload and deliver all the equipment needed to make this Swiss wedding a special day. 
There were also some challenges in setting up the tent and installing the floor. The trees on the site, as well as the romantic and imposing metal kiosk in the middle of the site, made the project more complex. 
The time required to set up the tent was also extended. But the dazzled eyes of the guests in front of the final result were worth it!

An outdoor space designed to share magical moments

Wishing to celebrate their wedding outdoors, in the midst of a health crisis and in a garden full of trees, the bride and groom called upon Atawa's experience to meet the challenge.  
This memorable day began with the ceremony, also held outdoors, followed by a cocktail party. If the weather had not been so kind, everyone could have taken refuge in the 448 m2 silhouette tent, nestled between the trees and set up for dinner and the evening.
It was under this tent that the floor was set up to receive the entire assembly. Dressed with a skirting, this wooden floor was cut in places to integrate the trees and the kiosk, decorative elements already present and with which we had to deal.  

A careful decoration and a warm atmosphere

448 m2 is a beautiful volume to accommodate the various spaces imagined by the bride and groom, and arranged by Atawa, during this large wedding in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland.
On a stage conceived on 2 levels, the musicians ensured the musical atmosphere during the day as well as the night, with the dance floor part. 
As for the open bar and the lounge area, they also made their effect in this elegant, original and friendly reception place. 
A few raindrops might have fallen during the aperitif? The table-top tables even had their own space under the tent to welcome the guests!
For dinner, comfortably seated on beautiful wooden chairs, guests gathered around round tables, decorated with soft fabrics, delicate country bouquets and elegant tableware. 
Next to them, the meal buffets offered tasty dishes, concocted under the 72 m2 silhouette tent of the catering office.
Under the starry sky fixed all along the tent, enveloped by this bucolic and refined atmosphere, the 212 guests shared strong emotional moments, far from the worries caused by the covid a few weeks earlier!

A perfect day for a beautiful wedding in the canton of Vaud

In spite of the hazards linked to the pandemic, Atawa was able to find the means to realize the wedding dreamed by the bride and groom. Accompanied by Alexia Cramer in the realization of this project, as well as the company Options for the furniture and tableware, Atawa was able to face all the technical constraints imposed by this unusual space. 
By designing a custom-made structure, the elements of the garden could be harmoniously integrated into the decoration. The size of the tent was also reviewed, in order to be able to slip between the trees of the ground. With a clever plan, the space underneath could be optimized and accommodate all the guests. The difficulties of access and the unevenness of the ground were also solved, under the watchful eye of the coordinator Atawa present from the beginning to the end.
On that day, the newlyweds were able to fully enjoy their loved ones without worrying about the organization, which was perfectly managed beforehand. 
Atawa was able to respond to the needs of these lovers in a sometimes complex situation. Everything was ready for the guests to enjoy these precious moments during this elegant and enchanting wedding in the canton of Vaud in French-speaking Switzerland!
