Chic wedding in Saint-Remy de Provence

Chic wedding in Saint-Remy de Provence

A chic and romantic wedding in a royal setting

Originally planned for June 2020 at the Abbaye de Cercanceaux, in Seine-et-Marne, and due to the health crisis, this wedding has finally been moved to 20 June 2021 in a place familiar to the bride and groom, in the south of France, at the Château de Vaugrigneuse. This project was conceived and designed by wedding planner Nadège Branger. Following the postponement of the date, Atawa had to completely readjust the project to offer Nadège and the bride and groom the best option to celebrate their love on the occasion of this Jewish and West Indian wedding. They finally opted for a chic, romantic, simple and natural atmosphere.

A traditional Jewish ceremony

As this wedding took place in Saint-Remy de Provence, it was necessary to take into account the heat often present in this season.
The ceremony for this Jewish wedding in the Provence region took place under a transparent canopy. Underneath the installation was a podium on which a chuppah was installed. Initially located in a synagogue, the chuppah can also be installed outdoors and is surrounded by two rows of guests, men on one side and women on the other. The rabbi was thus able to perform the ceremony and recite the blessings in a green setting, protected by a canopy in case of bad weather.

Designing the space for a chic, uncluttered outdoor wedding

The bride and groom wanted an open structure to host the dinner and dance party. Therefore, an imposing 300 m² stretch tent was installed. This open structure is designed for warm regions, but also perfectly adapted to the sanitary context, since the air circulates much more easily. The absence of parquet flooring in the dining area accentuated the natural feel desired by the bride and groom. For the decoration part, the wedding planner Nadeige emphasised the natural aspect wished by the bride and groom thanks to centrepieces made of vegetation and accessorised with golden decorations and beautiful blue candles! As for the tableware, it inspired travel with its delicate blue motifs.
The dance floor was made up of an adapted floor and housed all the sound equipment as well as spotlights for a festive atmosphere until the early hours.

As for the cocktail area, a chic and comfortable lounge area was set up, decorated with woven poufs, Berber carpets and oriental-style suspension. To party and dance, guests could enjoy the dance floor under the stretch tent.

160 delighted guests and a happy couple

Although it was not an easy time for our young lovers, they were able to enjoy their wedding in Provence, close to home, surrounded by their respective friends and families. The biggest challenge was the adaptation and the complete change of project in a year's time, but the challenge seems to have been successful in view of the happiness expressed by the bride and groom and the festive atmosphere that was created throughout the day.
Between the dance area, the cocktail lounge and the dining area, the guests had plenty of time to enjoy themselves, relax and savour the meals designed by the caterer Meffret. The atmosphere remained perfect all day long and the royal decor of the château de Vaugrigneuse made this moment magical.
