Skirting is the aesthetic masking of the gap between the ground and an installation.
This is particularly widely used in the context of an event structure when levelling the ground is necessary. It is used to cover the difference in height between the ground and the floor.
There are many different scenarios for using a skirting, depending on your dressing requirements. For example, it's possible to skirt a custom walkway, a podium or made-to-measure steps. As part of the installation of sanitary caravans, it is also possible to mask the wheels of these with skirting for a high-end finish.
Depending on the look you want, there are two types of skirting: classic skirting and high-end skirting.
The classic skirting can be made from brushed cotton in the colour of your choice, but also from hessian for a more natural look. It effectively masks the gap between the floor and the installation.
For a more luxurious look and a smooth, crease-free, precise finish, high-end skirting is ideal. Made to measure by a team of decorators, it is designed from scraped cotton or stretched extendex in the colour of your choice. It can also be made from made-to-measure wooden strips.
